4-H Junior Leaders



These four Wells County 4-H Jr. Leaders will be serving as 4-H Camp Counselors June 28- July 1.

Sign-up is underway for camp which is held at 4-H Camp Palmer in Fayette, Ohio. Cost of the camp is $65 for 4-H youth in grades 3-6. For more information about camp call 824-6412.

4-H Sewing workshop

A 4-H Sewing workshop will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 6:30 PM at the Wells County Community Center, 4-H Park in Bluffton.

Topics covered in the workshop will include: fabric selection, layout, cutting and pattern adjusting. Sewing tips for the different project areas, wearable and non-wearable will be covered.

Susan Gouty, 4-H volunteer will lend the workshop . Parents and sewing helpers are encouraged to attend. For more information about the workshop contact the wells county office of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, 824-6412.

MINI 4-H Night

JUNE 8
The Wells County Mini 4-H Night will be held Tuesday June 8th. Check in begins at 5:30PM and the event will start at 6:00PM and continue until 8:15PM. Cost of the Mini 4-H Night is $10.00. Registration is due June 1. Late Registration will be accepted; however a t-shirt may not be available on the day of camp.

The event is organized by the 4-H Junior Leaders and they will be leading some of the group recreation. Additional sessions will include: Crafts, Meet the Animals, Nature Fun and Fun Food.

Each participant will receive a 2010 4-H Fair t-shirt “Go Green with 4-H”

4-H Jr. Leaders

Wells County 4-H Junior Leaders met at the 4-H Park last night to have some fun and plan their summer events. Purdue Extension Agent Roger Sherer led them in a few games designed to help them get to know each other beyond simple introductions.

Spring cleaning at the 4-H park


Jason Steiner was raking the yard at the 4h park, on Saturday with the Nottingham Nobles. Cleaning the 4-H park is an annual event for the Nottingham Nobles.


The 4H Nottingham Nobles had their annual park clean-up on Saturday.The 16 club members picked up sticks, raked leaves, and planted flowers.
